Community Impact

Devin Tucker, Vice President of Community Impact, leads Fairstead’s commitment to maximizing community impact. Through his oversight of strategic partnerships, fundraising, best practice development, advocacy, and scaling of innovative programming across Fairstead’s national portfolio, Devin ensures that Fairstead is creating and maintaining a connection to the communities we serve. Devin brings over 15 years of experience advocating for affordable housing as a platform for financial capability, health, workforce development, youth development, and broadband access.

Prior to joining Fairstead, he served as the Social Impact Consultant at Telesis Corporation and as the National Director of Community Development Programs at National Housing Trust. He led Telesis’ efforts to achieve the Certified Organization for Resident Engagement & Services (CORES) certification, a new national standard for addressing the social determinants of health in affordable housing communities.  At the National Housing Trust, he created innovative pilots focused on improving police and community relations, building the capacity of community-based nurses in affordable housing communities, and working with financial institutions to seed bank accounts for low-income children.

Devin holds a BS in Finance from St. Louis University, a Master’s in Religious Studies from Harvard and holds an executive certificate in Non-Profit Management from Georgetown University. He serves as Chair of the Arundel Legislative Symposium, which works to address equity issues in his hometown’s public schools, is a recipient of the Congressman Elijah Cummings Community Service Award and served on the Affordable Housing Transition Committee for his community.
