Fairstead acquired The Grove in September 2015 as part of a 24-building, 997-unit portfolio across Manhattan. One of Fairstead’s earliest acquisitions, the purchase of this portfolio that included The Grove, informed Fairstead’s strategic approach to the development of mixed-income multifamily properties.
Upon acquisition, Fairstead implemented a comprehensive rehabilitation plan at The Grove. Alongside this building’s original charm, the addition of luxury-level finishes created revitalized open-concept, spacious and light-filled homes with indoor and outdoor amenities and expansive views of Downtown Manhattan. Centrally located in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, the 200-apartment building sits near The High Line and ample transportation and dining options.
